To Sort Records In A Table
Answer: A) Open Table, Click On The Field On Which The Sorting Is To Be Done, Then Click Sort Button On Database Toolbar
In Microsoft Access, records in a table can be sorted by selecting the field (column) you want to sort and then choosing the appropriate sorting command.
- Sort Ascending: Arranges records from A to Z or smallest to largest.
- Sort Descending: Arranges records from Z to A or largest to smallest.
In older versions of Access, you select the field and use the Sort Ascending or Sort Descending buttons on the Database toolbar.
Note: Option C also describes a sorting method in newer datasheet interfaces, where clicking a field heading may open sorting options. However, for the traditional Access toolbar procedure, A is the likely expected answer.
Exam Tip: Select Field → Sort Ascending / Sort Descending.
